Warrington is a highly successful business location and is home to the global, European and UK HQs of companies including United Utilities, Electricity North West, MHI Vestas Offshore Wind UK, Sellafield Ltd, Nuvia UK, New Balance, Sonova UK, Cavendish Nuclear, European Metal Recycling and Certas Energy.
The local business base is diverse but is particularly strong in energy (specifically nuclear), engineering, logistics and software. The latter is represented by companies such as Tata Consulting Services, HP, Datel and Dassault Systems.
Warrington has a thriving economy and represents a major centre of employment in the North West as well as for the Northern Powerhouse as a whole. One reason for this economic success is Warrington’s well developed infrastructure and connectivity, in particular its close proximity to the M62, M6 and M56 motorways as well as the cities of Manchester and Liverpool.

The area sits within and supports the growth aspirations of the Atlantic Gateway.
